When we are young, it’s all about fitting in and belonging. Remember elementary school? What about high school? Being “different” in high school was considered by some to be a fate worse than death. We all wanted to fit in somewhere and belong. But we’re not in high school anymore, and we must shed that thinking if we’re to succeed as marketers.
Think about this … If you’re the same as all of your competitors … if your business is the same as theirs, or your products and services are the same as theirs … how do your prospects choose who to do business with? It is only when you clearly communicate your differences that you become the no-brainer, obvious best choice and win the customer.
It is when you’re the no-brainer, obvious best choice that you dominate your market, grow your business, and make money.
